If you have driven Salem Avenue between Albany and Millersburg, you may have passed one of the mid-valley's longest running card rooms without knowing it. The Diamond Poker Club opened in 2020 with a simple goal, in its own words: to bring "safe, fun and affordable poker back to the cities of Linn-Benton County."

What's on the table

The club spreads limit and no-limit versions of Texas Hold'em and Omaha. Its posted cash game schedule leans on friendly stakes: 1/2 No Limit Hold'em most weeknights at 6 p.m., 1/3 No Limit on Thursdays and Saturdays, Big O Pot Limit on Sundays and Mondays, and a 5/10 Hi/Lo Full Kill Omaha game on Tuesday afternoons and Friday at noon. The club asks players to call or text ahead to get on the list.

Tournaments most nights

There is a tournament nearly every day. Monday and Wednesday evenings feature $25 buy-in events with rebuys and double freeroll points. Tuesday brings a $100 daytime tournament, Thursday has an Omaha tournament and a freezeout, Friday is a bounty night, and Saturday adds a "resurrection chip" twist that lets busted players buy back in. The first Sunday of the month features a larger $120 bounty event. Schedules change, so check the club's website before you go.

How poker clubs work in Oregon

Oregon law lets cities and counties authorize "social games" by local ordinance. Under the state definition, the house can't be a player, can't bank the game or set odds, and can't earn income from the game itself, which is why you won't find a casino-style rake. Most Oregon social gaming ordinances limit play to adults 21 and older.
